What have I learned?
In project 1, I learn not only the skills to making a video for the first time, but I also learn how to explore storytelling from a viewpoint of telling a close-personal story and concerning the struggle to have bias emotions and thoughts about the concept since of the story is very close and significant to me.
From Project 2,I think it’s a fair assessment to say that thoroughly learned a lot about analyzing but also using the 12 forms of Information Paradigm. I like searching and learning about each category of the information paradigm into explaining how Information, Argument and Knowledge reaches out to the other categories of Information Paradigm. For me, I the things that were new for were learning about the discourse community, trying to understand the meaning of discipline and researching what my discipline does for the major.
In Project 3-looking into the various areas of identifying ourselves by self-reflection, analyzation of our data footprints/daily agenda, learning about the various filters-my favorite was the filtered self and selfie article are my favorite parts of this section.
How did I learn?
I think I mainly learn from practicing a lot and going through the revising process helped me grasp a better understanding of each concept from each project. Some of my personal examples are: Project 1-In storytelling belief project- a main input I need to focus on was not just telling a story but when doing the revision to my video-I had to consider how it all flowed together from a sound and visual standpoint of my audience; Project 2- I learn a lot more when I revise this project where I added in-text citations and other examples of my pages of Information, Argument and Knowledge where each category are supported from the other areas of the Information Paradigm; Project 3-I think I learn by really taking the time to follow my visions from experience. This essentially was high based on using my creative side to my advantage which included research, experience and guess-and-checks.
After reviewing my portfolio..
After I finally manage to overcome a mind block and solving how to technologically put together all my projects and assignments together. Exploring each link all over again reminded me of all the things I struggled with over the course of the semester, but also some improvements on how I see the importance/significance of Information Paradigm, Story telling mode and Project 3 that deals with the digital self. Furthermore, after going through each link and more self-reflection, I realized how audience was a main focus to keep in mind for not only telling the story but also keeping in mind how they can easily hear and see such emotion and feelings I have experience. In addition, Project 2 and Project 3 dealt a lot purpose and distinction of various information and knowledge of a community (in Project 2) to self (Project 3); Distinction for both project was important to establish information beyond just facts and the various forms of writing in project 2, and identifying other forms of digstal self in Project 3 such as the filtered digital viewpoint, selfie, dataism -digital footprint and all, etc.
